Color Up!
Dear Friends of Stonehedge Neighborhood:
Every month of the year - except for December - is a Cancer Awareness Month. To raise awareness of cancer and to honor our loved ones and friends who are dealing with or have passed on from cancer, we will be adding colored flood lights to the Stonehedge Waterfall periodically.
For the month of April the colors Blue and Green for National Donate Life Month will light the waterfall. Blue and Green Up!
National Donate Life Month (NDLM), an observance focusing national attention on the need and importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. National Donate Life Month is about the importance of registering your decision to be a donor, honoring deceased and living donors, and celebrating the lives they saved.
It is the generosity of donors and donor families that makes saving lives through transplantation possible.
Blue, green and the swirl represent the sky, earth and circle of life. The Donate Life logo is a call to action, telling the public to Donate Life - to register their decision to save lives.
Let’s Color Up! in our neighborhood and bring light and hope as well as bring awareness to important health causes.
If you would like to suggest a cancer awareness month to light up the waterfall, email your request to friendsofwf@gmail.com and Color Up!
Donations to offset the cost of the lights are always appreciated.
